Even if they see the death certificate, there are some of them who just don't trust me. In fact, there is one member who did not believe it when I was hospitalized. I'd had major surgery for Pete's sake, but when I came back, he swore that he'd seen me alongside the I-5 freeway in an orange jumpsuit picking up trash. I am sure he will look around at each meeting for weeks after my funeral, clearly expecting to see me walk in saying, "Gotcha!"
