O knihe
The Brazil of samba, sertanejo and frevo is also the Brazil of funk. Although it's not a rhythm created here, it has undergone intense rhythmic and instrumental transformations. It gained space on the radio and then in the other media, initially in Rio de Janeiro, mainly with the work of DJ Marlboro, a musical exponent. The dancing rhythm influenced the carioca society, promoting an alteration in its customs, ways of coexistence and, in an incisive way, in its way of exposing itself to the world. And, a model that confronted head-on - sometimes with a certain exaggeration - the family and the more formal language expressed in Brasil, would of course bring repercussions from the media. Some magazines, such as Veja, from Editora Abril, object of analysis in this master's thesis, treat the theme regularly, addressing its main characters and the way of life of those who are inserted within the culture. They may criticize, expose, doubt. However, funk has established itself in Brazilian popular culture and, over time, will undergo transformations to stop being a segregator of classes to unite society in emotion.
