Topical Silver diamine fluoride is a clear liquid that is painted on the surface lesion is in milligram amounts and arrests to prevent the lesion. Silver ions are responsible for the antimicrobial action of silver diamine fluoride. It is used to promote remineralisation of tooth mineral -hydroxyapatite that is under constant challenge of acid in the oral cavity.
