However, the way, in which the debate has been conducted is fundamentally misconceived. This is because of one particular conception of science, that of positivism. The main criterion is to study of the social phenomena and argue that a neglected position in the philosophy of natural science, theoretical realism, or realism, should be explored as an appropriate framework for the social science.
