Green buildings are gaining increasing attention around the world as a sustainable construction process. Ancient building structures were developed as non-impact buildings for the environment which were constructed from local and natural materials, renewable energies and simple designs. Conventional building construction has paved the way for environmental pollution which is badly affected on human being and ecosystems. Green building concept and green building rating systems have been developed for maintaining the sustainability in the construction sector.
