O knihe

The development of power systems has resulted in increased electrical energy consumption, resulting in some power systems reaching the geographical extent of an entire continent today. Furthermore, due to this development, which many benefits have accompanied, new issues have emerged in the dynamic branch of power systems as in other sectors. Several issues include low-frequency oscillations, sub-synchronous amplification (SSR), and voltage drops. A particular focus is placed on the phenomenon of low-frequency oscillations in discussions of power system dynamic stability. Different disturbances in the network cause the system to deviate from its stable equilibrium. The system approaches the new equilibrium point with low-frequency fluctuations under such circumstances, assuming that network synchrony is not lost. By its inherent damping characteristics, a generator works alone to dampen low-frequency oscillations in a relatively acceptable manner. In the presence of dynamic effects between different parts of the network, such as fast exciters, negative damping may be introduced into the network due to the use of some elements.
