O knihe
The present book seeks to be an introduction to the growth and development of Persian literature in India during the sultanate and Mughal period. Persian was recognized as the official language for both Sultanate and Mughal Empire. This led to a number of important works being composed in Persian. Many poets, authors and historians have richly contributed to the growth of the Persian literature in Indian environment. During the Sultanate period five more dynasties have been created along with Sufism, which has had a very special place in Indian cultural ethos having contributed significantly to the making of its syncretic socio-cultural fabric. During the Mughal period Persian was the state language and therefore much of literature was written in Persian language and it was mandatory for all to learn Persian language. The book attempts to present the way Persian literature has impacted in the subcontinent and also explores the Society, Education and Cultural condition within the period.
