O knihe
In this publication, Angels and Spirits, the scripture teaches that there is an order of intelligences higher than that of men and further asserts that these intelligences are connected with man in providence and in the redemptive economy. These intelligences are called spirits to denote their specific role and nature; they are called angels to denote their mission. We will investigate their involvement with mankind and their tasks. Nothing can be known of them other than that which is revealed in the scriptures. They are created spirits, but the time of their creation is not indicated. Many biblical scholars hold that such a creation must have been included in the statement found in Genesis 1:1 and therefore preceding the six days' formative period.
The highest exercise of angels is to wait upon God. Their chief duty is to minister to the heirs of salvation. As we embark upon this reading, my hope is that you will come to take seriously the informative topics presented to you. We do not intend to dwell on Satan or his angels too much (only as necessary) but focus on the deeds and tasks of holy angels.
