O knihe
Ground water is one of the most valuable natural resources in both in rural and urban India. However, during last decade, it has been observed that this resource is becoming increasingly get polluted and hence results into many water bone diseases causing health hazards. In this study the authors had tried to assess the ground water quality of Noida region for determining its suitability for drinking water purpose with observing 12 physico- chemical parameters such as pH, Conductivity, TDS, Alkalinity, Total hardness, Chloride, Residual chlorine, Dissolve Oxygen, Biological oxygen demand (BOD), Iron, Nickel, and Chromium. Result obtains were comparing with WHO and BIS prescribe limit. It has been observed that pH of all the samples was neutral to slight alkaline. Some samples parameters like nickel, chromium, and residual chlorine are found beyond the permissible limit. Whereas DO, BOD, iron and chloride is observed less than acceptable limit. PH, conductivity, TDS, alkalinity, TH are within permissible limit. Hence samples are showing quite good suitability for drinking purpose as prescribed by WHO.
