O knihe

The menstrual cycle is a physiological phenomenon in all women of reproductive age and is well known for its relation with neuro-endocrie system. The relation with the pre-menstrual distress syndrome and the ovarian hormones has been well established and is a field of rapid research and interest in gynaecology. Also, the fact that the Hypothalamo-Pituitary-Ovarian-Axis functions as a single neuro-endocrine unit altogether makes us to think the possible new avenues about the underlying oetiology of the varied symptoms of Premenstrual distress sysndrome. The strong phasic association of the autonomic nervous system in two different phases of the menstrual cycle, with parasympathetic dominanace in the follicular and the sympathetic dominance in the luteal phase if proved again and again with more studies will help us to treat the PMS Syndrome. So,the basic aim of this physiological study is to provide some analytical data which may be of a great help in the field of Neurology and Gynaecology.
