O knihe

Ever since the middle of 1970s the whole world has been looking after maiden agricultural crops to maximize the biomass resource pedestal for manufacturing of biofuels. This has been resulted in the discovery of broomcorn as a promising new energy crop. However, the global rush to energy crops like corn and sugarcane to extract Gasol (bioethanol) has threatened to bring food shortages and increased poverty. As a result, broomcorn has been chosen for this project as the best alternatives to other feedstocks that will reduce the impact on food shortages and arguably eradicate poverty especially in the developing countries. Furthermore, broomcorn is one of the agricultural crops, which can sustain the extreme weather conditions and can be cultivated in any part of the world as a feedstock for the production of alternative fuel.In general terms broomcorn has not been utilized for biobased products and bioenergy. This project was designed to evaluate the feasibility of producing Gasol from broomcorn and to examine economic aspects of Gasol produced from broomcorn juice.
