O knihe

Excerpt from Bockshammer on the Freedom of the Human Will: Translated From the German, With Additions

Without making pretensions to any thing like an accurate knowledge of the history, or of the compass and complement of German Philosophy. The Translator would still hope that his additions have thrown some light upon certain points and allusions in the Essay which might otherwise have been unintelligible to the mere English scholar. The appendix and all the notes are from him. They are generally intended to be illustrative; in some few cases they are-*confirrnato ry of the views advanced by the Author. Many'of the extracts added are from rare works they serve to show the accordance of thought between thinking men, and are conceived to add interest to the discussion.
