O knihe

The study investigated the impact of breastfeeding motherhood on job performances. It was based on the background that breastfeeding is associated with certain changes both psychological and physiological on the breastfeeding teacher which in turn may affect her job performance. The objectives of the study therefore were: to examine the relationship between breastfeeding motherhood and job performance, to identify the work related challenges of breastfeeding teachers and to identify the strategies used by school administrators in handling breastfeeding teachers at the workplace. It was carried out in Nyamweru subcounty, Kabale District. The study was anticipated to provide an insight into the working environment of female teachers with a view of harmonizing the existing conditions for them to be effective to work. The findings of the study finally revealed that support strategies and management of breastfeeding teachers was inadequate. The study therefore recommended the need for a breastfeeding promotion Act to harmonize the working arrangement and environment of teachers and an increase in staffing levels for teachers.
