On April 13, 1975, a military coup ended Chad's first civilian regime led by Ngarta Tombalbaye. The country was ruled during this time by a military council chaired by General Felix Malloum. This military regime, less enlightened, did not master the Chadian train and put it in an abyss during 4 years. The consequences have been felt for a long time.
