Stem cells develop into any type of cells to form the different types of tissue in the human body. They are characterized in the ability of self-renewal, development, growth and repair of their own cells. It is present in all living organism from their early stage of life and towards the end. Stem cell research has the development of therapies for injuries, cancer treatments and other disease. Human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) are source of cells for regenerative medicine application as those possess high proliferation potential with multi-lineage differentiation compare to other sources of adult stem cells. Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) exhibit a multipotent character as they can differentiate into chondrocytes, adipocytes, osteoblasts, and myocytes. This study focuses on the isolation of chondrogenic stem cells from dental pulp. These cells were cultured in DMEM medium for 21 days and the growth of the cells were observed. It was characterized by immunofluorescence staining method and differentiated by using PCR primers (GAPDH, RUNX2).
