O knihe
Climate change is already influencing crop production and distribution and exacerbating the risks associated with farming. Crop yields from most countries worldwide are declining due to the consequences of climate change with a more adverse future impacts under business as usual scenario. Smallholder farmers, especially from developing countries have been identified as the most vulnerable to climate hazards due to their low adaptive measures. CSA has therefore been presented as an alternative form of agriculture to improve food security and reduce poverty, especially in developing countries. In Ghana, efforts have been made to build farmers adaptive capacity in various agro-ecological zones to adapt to climate change through various CSA practices. Using only a quantitative approach, the study examines the CSA practices adopted by smallholder food crop farmers in one agro-ecological area and the implication for crop yield.
