O knihe
Histological changes in the CNS and internal organs of hetero- (hamsters) and homoiothermal (rats) animals under artificial (hypoxic-hipercapnic model) and natural (hibernation) hypometabolism were compared. Hypometabolic states were accompanied by the similar morphological changes. In the CNS (the neocortex and hypothalamus) the dilated perivascular spaces, the appearance of dark neurons, neurons nucleus with nucleoli were found. In the internal organs (heart, liver) hyperemia of vessels blood thrombi; increased perivascular and interstitial spaces; signs of grained, hydropic and hyaline-drop dystrophies (focally); cell hypertrophy; the large number of nuclei at various necrobiosis stages (karyopyknosis, karyorhexis and karyolysis) were found. Kidneys veins had congestion, degenerative changes in epithelium of proximal tubules, exfoliated epithelium in lumen of collector tubes and distal nephrons). Rats` kidneys were unchanged under hypometabolism. The most of those changes had compensatory-adaptive nature, as the activation of necrobiotic processes promotes the acceleration of physiological regeneration, and were reversible after body temperature and blood circulation recovery.
