Provisional restorations are used as an intermediate stage for short or long-term placement on teeth between the time of tooth preparation until the definitive indirect restorations are fabricated and placed. The demand for tooth-colored restorations has increased significantly in recent years due to improved techniques and patient demand. The emergence of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacture (CAD/CAM) technology in dentistry has allowed the use of different materials successfully.
