Many undergraduate students have experienced the consequences of unplanned pregnancies in the past. Consequently, making some of them to drop out of school for a while or even make a decision to terminate the pregnancy. The problems associated with poor utilization of contraceptives include increase in the number of unplanned pregnancies, increase in abortion cases and increased number of sexually transmitted diseases (Berta et al., 2018). Despite the efforts made by the government and non-governmental organizations, contraceptive use among university students is still low (Nyarkoh et al., 2019). This study assessed the knowledge, attitude and utilization of contraceptives among Meru University of Science and Technology undergraduate students. The study used descriptive cross- sectional design. The study population was 246 undergraduate students in MUST. A structured self-administered questionnaire with both open ended and close ended questions wereutilized to collect the data. Stratified random sampling method was used to determine the number respondents from each school. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented in form of tables and bar graphs.
