Although I am anxious, where I feel it to be absolutely necessary for the. Elucidation of the truth, that those circumstances should be brought before you, I Wish that theyfshould not have more than their fair and legitimate weight. You must not allow them to prejudice you! Mild against the prisoner with reference to that which is the real matter of inquiry.'
