The dissatisfaction with the contemporary religious in their deviant practice of religion is why these scholars lash the religious, while at same time pointing out the ideals and positive aspects/prospects of religion in general. These critical essays prevail on all and sundry to really understand and practice what true religion entails, and shun the otherwise widely obtained now- religious hypocrisy, fanaticism and fundamentalism, occasioned by fake religious practice, the proliferation of religion, prejudicing religious superiority contestation, the commercialization and politicizing of religion and the use of religion as an ethnicity weapon. More so, throughout the ages, women have had unreserved place in religion, but their place therein has been continuously undermined grossly, all on the basis of gender stereotype and women relegation. In view of this, for us to better understand and appreciate women's enormous contribution to religion in particular, and the society in general, from time immemorial, a critical appraisal is made and presented herein for readership, towards change.
