The little girl whose parents were part of The Committee, the high-control group founded by charlatan soothsayer Walker Wilkes, grew into a preschool teacher with control issues, wiping noses and teaching the alphabet in The Committee's very own community school. When Wilkes croaks, Dalmatia should be relieved, but she isn't. His death is far too suspicious to celebrate with a Good Riddance party and an ice-cream cake. And, unfortunately for Dalmatia, FBI Detective Kyle Alaric agrees. Dalmatia Scissors has two choices: figure out on her own who whacked Wilkes or partner up with the handsome detective whose sneaker addiction concerns her almost as much as his lack of insight into the dynamics of cults.
