Control can be defined as keeping a physical variable (pressure, temperature, level, flow etc.) as constant as possible by measuring instantaneous value of physical variable, comparing it with the desired value and using the difference to make a correction which reduces this difference. It may include everything from a process control computer and then the control components: the switches, stepping motors, solenoids, and sensors. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is used in Industries from last twenty yeas. This is a very flexible controlling device, can be used in every type of industries for the automation.
