This study examined effects of Boko Haram insurgency on Rabeh's Fort and Sukur World Heritage Site in Borno and Adamawa States, Nigeria. Boko Haram insurgency carried out attacks on the heritage sites of the people during their unprecedented menace on Northeast, Nigeria. The threat of the insurgents brought set back to the sociocultural and economic development of the people which is of the greatest problems. These historical sites play a vital role in symbolizing history and civilization of the areas. Most of the States in the Northeast like Borno, Yobe, Bauchi and Adamawa States have been drastically devastated, leaving the cultural heritage of the people in disarray. The chapters compresses of background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives, research questions, significance of the study and scope. The study reviewed related literature and theoretical framework. The study also employed primary and secondary sources of data collection. The primary data is oral interview with the stakeholders and observation of the sites. The secondary data utilised such as books, archival materials, internet sources, journal articles and pamphlets.
