From the very beginning of human civilization, men confronted with deadly attacks of many diseases. Since then, diseases gradually multiplied in number and severity. With the increasing attacks of diseases, different medicines were invented by mankind for its survival. This was the result of efforts by many great people including Abu Ali Ibn Sina, the great Muslim scholar and scientist, popularly known as IBN SINA. The IBN SINA Pharmaceuticals Industry Ltd. has rightly been named after this great Muslim scholar & scientist. The IBN SINA Pharmaceutical Industry Ltd., occupying a prestigious place among top 14 leading pharmaceutical companies of Bangladesh, started its production efforts in 1983 in a campus of about 15 acres of land, about 56 km away from Dhaka city. The land allows a wide scope for future expansion of the production area. The factory buildings of IBN SINA Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. are surrounded by natural forest on two sides of Dhaka-Tangail highway. The IBN SINA Pharmaceutical Industry was founded by the IBN SINA trust as a private Limited Company. It was converted into a Public Limited company in 1989. Now IBN SINA TRUST owns 50% share of the company.
