The book is divided into two sections. The section of Enzyme basics deals with fundamentals of enzymology such as history, properties, classification ,nomenclature, specificity,kinetics,factors affecting enzymatic activity, inhibition, control of enzymatic activity, enzyme assays and mechanisms responsible for abnormal enzyme levels. Specific enzyme section deals with important diagnostic enzymes in detail. Each chapter of diagnostic enzyme is further divided into three sections viz introduction, clinical significance and assay procedures.
