O knihe

In Panama, MINSA decreed a quarantine and the closure of the universities by the covid-19. As a result of this measure the American University (UAM) decided to give classes in the virtual modality, this urgent decision generated an acceleration in digital skills and use of virtual platform by teachers used to give classes in person. These teachers had to resort to multiple resources to transform themselves digitally in an immediate way. The objective of this research is to analyze the transformation of the digital competencies of university teachers for virtual education. The research is quantitative, ex post facto descriptive, non experimental field design. The sample is probabilistic, consisting of 80 teachers, and the technique of digital survey was used. The results indicate that teachers consider their digital skills to be good for teaching virtual classes and recognize the need to accelerate the digital transformation.
