The Book has examined utterances which have traditionally been regarded as expletives or fillers within a conversation. In this book it is demonstrated using corpus from Kabras an Agglutinating Dialect of the Luhya Language spoken on the western shores of Lake Victoria. The utterances identified in this book serve critical roles in conversations. It is hoped that the book will contribute to already existing knowledge on Discourse Markers and communication studies.
