The Safed Musli is an important medicinal plant. The species Chlorophytum borivillianum contains Carbohydrate (42%), Protein (8.9%), Root fiber (3-4%) and Saponin (2-17%). Saponins are the potent medicinal compounds in the roots of Safed musali. The fly ash enrich the soil in macro and micro nutrients, neutralize soil acidity and increase iron exchange capacity, water holding capacity and pore size and FYM released the N, P, K slowly and become available to the plants over a long period of time at all the growth stages. The Safed Musli is affected by various number of plant pathogens resulting in yield losses and affect the quality. The experiment was carried out during year 2013-2014 at Nagarjun Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Garden, Dr. PDKV, Akola. The experiment is carried out by using the 12 treatment combination of FYM and fly ash. after sowing. From the analysed data it shows that the treatment M1F1 (9 kg FYM + 4.5 kg fly ash) and M1F2 (9 kg FYM + 9 kg fly ash) are standered dose for management of foliar and root rot diseases and increase the yield , Fresh weight, dry weight, and mainly saponin content of safed musali.
