O knihe

Experimental and Numerical Study of the Effect of Vibration on Airflow between Can Combustor Liner and Casing. Vibration is a common phenomenon occurring in a machine such as vibration of a rotor due to unbalanced mass, the vibration of a gas turbine engine at varying speed and loads. Therefore it was studied the effect of vibration on flow in annulus region for Can Combustor of gas turbine type frame MS9001E made by the general electric company. The idea came from having some serious problems faced by most mechanical equipment these problems are the rise of vibration level on the bearings for a gas turbine, so the manufacturer of these turbines put a control screen called (HMI) the purpose is to protect the machine from high levels of vibration when this value reaches to 12 mm/sec give an alarm and 25 mm/sec give trip (the unit shutdown) and these values of vibration come from compressor part or turbine part, so it can study the effect of vibration level on flow inside combustor because the combustor lies around bearing especially bearing no2. The wind tunnel (open-return) was used to supply the air flow.
