If applied properly, educational technology will enable a learner-centered approach to learning. Therefore, over the past two decades, the development and application of educational technology have drawn the attention of governments, academic organizations, educational scholars, frontline teachers, and parents worldwide, making it a popular research topic. With the continuous development of educational technology, the expansion of educational technology theories, and the outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020, the adoption of educational technology to promote school closures in response to pandemic prevention policies has highlighted the importance of issues related to educational technology.
