Few studies have been conducted on the SAFE training programme in Sub-Saharan African countries. It is against this background that this study assessed the effect of SAFE training programme on the job performance of agricultural extension workers in North-Western Nigeria, in order to fill in the gap and contribute to the existing knowledge about SAFE training programme in the study area. A multi-stage sampling technique was used to select 238 respondents. Primary data were collected using structured questionnaires and interview schedule. The data was analyzed using frequency, percentages, ranking, multiple regression, Pearson correlation and Paired sample T-test were used to test hypotheses. The results show that 99.1% of the graduates were male and married with a mean age of 45 years, and also a mean of 8 persons per household size, with a mean of ¿ 95,661.89 as their monthly salary. The hypotheses (Ho) tested are found to be significantly affected at alpha level of 0.05.
