Efficient retraction and finishing of cases have been achieved by both en-masse retraction and through two-step retraction by various orthodontists, and either method can be employed, according to the treatment requirements of the patient and the clinical judgement of the orthodontist. The teeth do not know which mechanics whether En- Masse or Two step retraction is being used for retraction and if the clinician is clear with his bio-mechanics, both the methods of retraction are clinically feasible and acceptable for the particular case they are chosen for.
