Extreme poverty, inequality and development are major issues bedeviling the South African government . In part, the state machinery considers entrepreneurship and the development of small enterprises as important in economic development, poverty reduction and employment creation. Although efforts have been made to make enterprises an important area for development and poverty alleviation, unemployment and underdevelopment still persist. The rate of unemployment and small enterprise failure is alarming and worrisome. The theme of this book is around entrepreneurship management in a rural setting, by novice entrepreneurs.
