Therefore, the objectives of present study were (i) To determine seroprevalence of Brucella abrotus specific antibody response in sheep and goats at farms, veterinary clinic and slaughter houses in Mymensingh and (ii) to find out the relation of prevalence of brucellosis in sheep and goat with their age, sex, pregnancy, husbandry condition and history of abortion. . Female sheep and goats showed higher prevalence of brucellosis as compared to male sheep and goats. On the other hand, sheep and goats above 2 years of age showed higher prevalence of brucellosis as compared to other compared to other ages. The highest prevalence was recorded in sheep (15.38%) at Veterinary Clinic and, in goats (7.5%) at Municipal Slaughter House. Findings of this study may suggest that brucellosis is endemic in sheep and goats in Mymensingh region of Bangladesh.
