So, the writer of this book tried to investigate the ancient food processing technology through ethnographic study. The tradition of using grinding stones in Simada, South Gondar, North Western Ethiopia is still practicing. As different archaeologists believed that, this tradition goes back to neolithic period. Therefore, the writer argued as the region has a long tradition of using grinding stones as a food processing technology until now.
