Fenugreek has three culinary uses: as a herb, spice and vegetable and also used in several Ayurvedic medicines. However, in present days, drought or moisture stress is a major constraints in crop production and its cultivation is still dependent on rainfall and conserved moisture. Thus, when genotypes are being screened for their tolerance to moisture stress, the overall yield potential under stress as well as the effect of stress on individual yield component should be considered. This helps not only in identifying the genotypes having high yield under stress but also assist in formulating the breeding strategies to increase the tolerance against stress.
