This book is compiled to guide students understand basic principles and concepts in the applications of science and technology to everyday life. It is structured to make non science students appreciate the role of scientific knowledge and its applications in our daily routines, understand contributions of science to human existence, identify some common scientific discoveries and inventions and have insight into genetics and its contributions to society. The book touches on basic dynamics of the atmosphere and how to keep it pure, prevention and cure of selected tropical diseases, the forms of energy and uses, and use of basic electronic gadgets.
