However, the lack of a comprehensive understanding of their failure in both short- and long-term scopes leads to over design, long and expensive certification tests. This work aims at evaluating the ability of numerical procedures to properly simulate composite pipe's behavior and so, promoting a discussion on incorporation of these analysis procedures on the development and test of these structures.
