In current times, the most esthetic and functional alternative to missing teeth are osseo integrated dental implants. Reported success rates for dental implants are as high as 98%. Nevertheless despite many advances in materials, techniques and implant design, implant failure is a significant concern for the dentist and patient. The treatment is not always successful resulting in the implant loss. There are a variety of reasons for the failure of dental implants.
