O knihe
The four-point bending fatigue lives of Ti-6Al-4V and 316L stainless steel are improved more than 17 and 22 times when a 200-nm-thick thin film metallic glasses (TFMGs) are coated. TFMGs (Zr50Cu27Al16Ni7) with unique physical and mechanical properties such as high hardness, and toughness have attracted interest in the past decade. With the aim of taking the advantages to their applications, TFMGs are coated on a series of crystalline substrates, i.e., Ti-6Al-4V, and 316L stainless steel to improve their four-point bending fatigue properties. Compared with traditional hard coating, TFMG with thinner thickness but has better performance.
