Based on secondary data fodder grasses, crops and plants considered were Signal, Cowpea, Stylosanthes, Combo Naiper, Subabul, Tapioca, Dinanath, Guine, Oat and Maize. 1st Chapter presents the comprehensive perspective of fodder in India. Second Chapter has been exclusively devoted to the perspective of fodder in Tripura. Third Chapter based on the literature review to know the fodder crops historical background from marketing and production point of view. Finally, in chapter four, an effort has been made to present the précis, findings, policy implications and future line of the study for fodder crops covered in the book. The book is primarily intended to provide benefits to all policy makers, researcher, planners and executors and can increase the participation in various developmental activities of governments for sustainability in fodder sector. The main findings in the book reveal that healthy and nutrition fodders are available in India but in terms of production quantity huge scarcity of fodder exists at national and regional level.
