However, his involvement in the case soon turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse. The murderer, whom the media has dubbed 'the Prop Master' because of the elaborately staged murder scenes, sends a series of letters to Eddy detailing his next murder. Eddy's record on the force was exemplary but for one unsolved crime - the murder of six-year-old Abigail - which haunts him even in retirement. He is not about to let another killer roam free.
