Up to now, it was allocated to the methodological attribute of human and veterinary medicine as one of the diagnostic methods. Therefore, the limited editions of serology provided only reference function. Theoretical and sometimes educational materials on serology were scattered through the extensive literature on other adjacent sections of Immunology. The book provides a systematic presentation of the material contained theoretical and practical (methodological) information. For the first time the methodological issues of development and testing of new serological tests was outlined. Methods for assessing the diagnostic value of serological test were described with specific references. Such efforts have not been taking in our country and abroad.
