The monograph represents the study of gender specificity of a special functional type of language serving electronic means of communication, to which, first of all, the language of the Internet belongs. The theoretical foundations and paradigm of the development of gender studies of Internet communication are described as well as the gender characteristics of verbal English-speaking behavior in such a communicative environment as Internet forums are analyzed.
