O knihe
This book summarized limitations of the scientific methodology used to study living systems. The General Systems Theory may explain them better. It is shown that the Indian concept that knowledge is structured in the consciousness is meaningful and that scientific knowledge is just a subset of this knowledge. The latest developments to understand the concept of consciousness using quantum physics, general theory of relativity and neurophysiology are discussed. Theory of karmas, pap and punya and rebirth can be explained using information contained at Planck's level. Examples are given to illustrate these points. They concern with remarkable memory of Swamy Vivekanand and Shatabhdhanies, who can perform hundreds of activities together in a sequence without using any pen and paper. A quantitative evidence is given to show that ancient Jain monks have estimated the size of the smallest particles of matter. It is proposed that the process of enlightenment is accompanied by a decrease in rate of entropy production and decrease in the resource consumption. They also indicate that Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) can exist and may be beyond the modern science.
