O knihe
Malawi, also touristically known as "The Warm Heart of Africa", is endowed with abundant and diverse natural resources, most of which remain unexplored and unexploited to date. These include geothermal springs which are widespread across the country. Interestingly, geothermal phenomena ostensibly remain a "mystic", elusive and indeed hazy subject that beckons serious academic probing in order to establish their genesis vis-a-vis geological controls as well as primary factors influencing their chemistry. Locally,to some uninformed country folk , geothermal springs gush out onto the earths surface due to accumulation of large volumes of hot water, heated by ancestral female spirits for their spirit husbands to bathe deep in the belly of the earth. This, inter alia , provoked the author's scientific mind to pursue this subject with agility and alacrity - more so, realizing that geothermal resources in Nkhata Bay, Malawi, were not previously studied and documented in the country and even beyond. This book is a "must" read for academics and all lovers of mother nature across all age groups as it magnanimously unravels the scientific secrets behind geothermal resources globally.
