O knihe

Bastardiopsis densiflora is a native tree species of timber and melliferous interest belonging to the Malvaceae family. Its seeds are of low and slow germination requiring studies on its viability. To study the germination power (PG) at different harvesting times, seeds harvested from the end of fruit growth until full dispersal were sown in sand and cultivated in the laboratory. A germination assay and an exploratory tetrazolium chloride staining protocol were carried out in a completely randomized design with 4 replicates of 50-100 seeds, with factorial arrangement of the viability treatments with three factors: humidification temperature (TH), conditioning with lateral cut in the distal part of the seed - without cut (A) and tetrazolium staining temperature (TT). Harvesting at the end of dispersal gave better PG values. For the tetrazolium viability test (Tzt), the seed conditioning factor showed significant differences between the two levels.showed significant differences between the two levels (with cut - without cut).
