Grand Canyon was formed in recent geological history.
Evidence supports Grand Canyon was formed 4,369 years ago. This theory is harmonious with biblical, scientific and geological evidence. This is the most inclusive explanation of how and when the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Colorado River and most of our National Parks were formed.
Most of the existing theories for how Grand Canyon was formed fall into a conventional paradigm that is based on geologic processes of erosion over an extensive period of time. The alternative theory presented in this work, labeled, The Watts Theory, is supported by evidence and provides a thorough explanation for the formation of Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. It also addresses some unanswered questions pertaining to several of the world's other mysteries.
Development of the Watts Theory started in the year 2000 after viewing the documentary Ring of Fire. At the end of the film, the narrator stated that all the volcanoes in the western hemisphere are connected to the Ring of Fire except Yellowstone and the reason for this is unknown. Researching the reason why, resulted in the realization that both the formation of Yellowstone and Grand Canyon were somehow related. According to the Watts Theory, Grand Canyon was formed by a sequence of catastrophic events that occurred in a short span of time. Evidence supporting this theory provides some of the missing information which geologists, scientists, biblical scholars and documentary film makers have been searching for, in order to answer some of the mysteries of the world's past.
