O knihe
Human endeavours throughout the ages have been the driving force of global development. It is also evident that these efforts, in turn have resulted in damage to the environment. Higher the number of carbon footprints, higher the disturbance to atmospheric equilibrium resulting in health problems, global warming and climate change. Vehicle emission is one of the key contributors to this vicious cycle. In the mission of accomplishing sustainable development goals and environmental sustainability while ensuring green growth, the adoption of the 'green car' concept could bring about a healthy revolution. Although many studies on assessing the consumer knowledge and attitudes on 'green cars' have been conducted, studies investigating the association between these components are lacking. The study that this book presents on `knowledge and attitudes about the `green car¿ concept among bank officers of Colombo district, Sri Lanka¿ is an effort to describe and compare the factors associated with knowledge and attitudes about the `green car¿ concept at a national level. It is hoped that this will serve as a guide to understanding the challenges in the journey towards a greener society.
